Our Region

You will find vast beaches with white sands, blue waters and colourful pebbles.

On the west end of the beach are the Byzantine walls Christopolis, built on the ruins of the ancient city Hedoni (city of the nine streets) later seaport Amfipolis. Arrian, wrote; where Alexander the Great launched his fleet for his expedition.

You can visit Ancient Amfipolis where the famous Kasta Tomb (dated around 325-300 BC the reign of Alexander the Great), the Marble Leo "The Amphipolis Lion" as well as the remarkable Archaelogical Museum of Amfipolis.

A short distance (4kms) is a port for boats and 2 large camping grounds.

A 30 minute drive will take you to the Cave of Alistratis where visitors are enchanted by the variety of stalactites and stalagmites.
